D - those involved in the lie must reveal the truth as soon as it becomes safe to do so.

    Explanation:

"those involved in the lie must reveal the truth as soon as it becomes safe to do so" did not meet Barker and Carter accepted lie standard because those involved in the lie are not suppose to admit or reveal the truth that they lied if they are been force by a superior or senior officer to do so, only lies that will benefit the people should be reveal and should not reveal any lies because they are prompted to reveal it.

The only lies that meet the standard are those in which their must be in furtherance of a legitimate organizational purpose and the nature of the deception must be such that it will better serve the public interest than the truth as well there must be a clear relationship between the need to deceive and the accomplishment of organizational purpose.
