    The nurture perspective has brought a new dimension in the study of social problems such as delinquency or addiction; before the nature vs. nurture debate began, it whas believed that these conducts were inherent to the person that presented the behavior, that it was in their nature. Now, it is known that the social context and problems such as poverty, play a strong role in the development of certain behaviors.
