Lightner Witmer originally defined clinical psychology as a discipline with similarities to medicine, education, and sociology. In your opinion, to what extent does contemporary clinical psychology remain similar to these fields?

Even in the present day the responsibility of the clinical psychologist is not only to treat the patient's mental state, but they also need to understand the patients environment and community, how that affects them and treatment process, and most importantly to educate the patient and provide tools that patient can use to better their lives.
