There are few names for this series of services: The Divine Offices, the Daily Offices, The Liturgy of the Hours or Work of God (Opus Dei).

This is the set of prayers usually consisting of psalms and hymns and they are performed at various hours of the day. It is the public prayer held by priests and deacons that plan to become priests.

There are major hour prayers (Office of Readings, Morning prayer, Evening prayer and Night prayer) and minor hour (Daytime prayers - before noon, Midday prayer and Mid-afternoon/Noon/Afternoon prayer).
