Continuity is the normal state of the aging condition in the people that occurs normally. This is the condition in which the older maintained their behavior and activities they maintained in their earlier life stages. According to this theory, the older people maintain their activity by using the strategies that they have used in their early life. This theory is the part of three other psychological theories that develop in old ages. The other two psychological theories are disengagement theory and activity theory with which the continuity theory comes in odd and elaborates and modifies all the things. It can be pertained to a micro-level theory and can be perceived from the level of functions.
