This is as a result of fluctation in data used.

    Explanation:

All over the world, study being carried out is determinate on some various factors which also depends on the particular time the study was carried out. Normally, 0.10 percent of Americans being afraid of flying should translate to 120 people of Americans when the 1,200 random Amercans was sampled instead of the 108 obtained.

Why this is not necessarily evedience that the proportion of Americans who are afraid to fly has decreased could be as a result of other factors that comes into play when the study was carried out. Some of the factors could be, the people afraid to travel not willing to participate in the survey, majority of those afraid not living in the region the sample size was taken from, majority indicated different opinion when asked inorder not to be seen as cawords over such question e. t. c

The best solution is to take a multiple sample size study in various regions before an inference could be made.
