    A suspect can refuse to answer any questions asked by the police under the Miranda rights. Often police uses the Miranda Warning while arresting an individual. Miranda rights or Miranda Warning means that the police has to clearly warn the person or the person has the right to "remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you". However, if there is not sufficient evidence to arrest a person then this law acts to safeguard the individual as they do not need to answer the police and can use Miranda rights for his or her protection. In such a case, the officers should stop questioning the suspect immediately.
