During his administration, President Jackson was able to carve out a base for the modern Democratic party through force of character and his reputation as the common man's candidate. He secured a constituency that ranged from the working poor in eastern cities to southern farmers.

    Answer: According to the question, president Jackson was able to form his new party, because he was able to easily relate with people from all works of life most especially the poor population which were more of farmers.

    The common man in the society saw him as their preferred candidate because of the ease with which the President identified with them.
