Was jackson effective as the chief executive? why or why not?

Based on his achievements it can be argued that Andrew Jackson (March 15, 1767 - June 8, 1845), the seventh president of the United States was effective as the chief executive of the country.

In particular, Jackson was very effective in fighting corruption and nepotism in American government. As a result of the investigations ordered by Jackson, massive corrupt schemes were uncovered in the offices and the departments of the executive Cabinet. As a result, numerous governmental officials were fired and millions of dollars saved. This investigative and purging efforts were followed by systematic solutions of reforming application system, governmental accounting and respective legislature. In addition, Andrew Jackson achieved the complete paying off the national debt, partly due to fight against corruption.
