My senior, a renowned lawyer, and director of a law firm, asked me to develop a plan for a hearing of a family dispute settlement. He gave two days deadline for the project, which was not enough. After informing my senior, he extended the deadline. Two days later, he asked me about the plan. I reminded him about the extended period. He said that he had no recollection of that and blew up at me. Instead of arguing with him about the deadline, I changed the focus of our conversation to the strategy. After discussing the plan in detail, he relaxed. He later mentioned to me that the idea I had made was genius and apologized for blowing up at me.
