Gibbons v. Ogden court case was a very important and landmark decision made by the Supreme Court. The United States Supreme Court Chief Justice John Marshall ruled out for Gibbons and stated that power to control the interstate "commerce" is granted to the Congress which is given by Commerce Clause in of the constitution of the Unites States. The court says that the Congress have power to regulate any aspect of the commerce which crossed the state lines, including navigation.
