    MLK. Jr (Martin Luther King Junior) made this comparison in his speech at the March on Washington. Martin best known for his "dream," ("I have a dream ... ") described the United States as a promissory note defaulter insofar as her citizens of color are concerned." By this MLK was reiterating the fact that the United States was founded on the principle that all men are equal and should enjoy equal opportunities under the law of the United States including African Americans who were being segregated heavily at the time.
