The following are the four natural protections of Egypt:
On the west, the boundaries of Egypt are formed by deserts that extend to great lengths deep into the interiors of Libya. The eastern edge of Egypt is mostly characterized by the presence of coasts except for a comparatively small patch of continued land in the north which connects Egypt with Israel. To the north of Egypt lies the Mediterranean Sea. The southern boundary of Egypt is also characterized by the presence of hot and barren desert.
