One way communication and the two way communication differ with each other in a way that in one way communication, the sender is in control of the message he is sending, and he does not get the instant response from the receiver. Only one party can send or receive the message at a moment. Whereas in two way communication, both parties, sender and receiver, can interact with each other at a time.

Of course, two way communication is a more effective way of communication.

We can take a very conventional example. When letters are sent to someone, it is referred to as the one way communication. When two people talk on a telephone or cell phone, both of them can interact at the same time, it is called as the two way communication. In two way communication, there is no delays in conveying the message and getting the feedback. It is no doubt more effective than the one way communication.
