An introvert is someone who closes off to social settings and doesn't enjoy being open and going up to people who they don't know to strike up conversations. They rather spend their time alone or if accompanied they rather be with people who they already trust and know.

An ambivert is a mix of extrovert and introvert. It's a person who is adaptable in both social situations and alone situations. They are able to strike up conversations if they want to but are also able to be quiet and serious if needed.

An extrovert is a person who is socially active and is not afraid to strike up a conversation to know you better. They rather be in social areas like parties, gatherings, and clubs. They are very direct and are not afraid to show their feelings towards you. They are constantly exposed and like to make a lot of friends.
