    Explanation:

    The income pyramid shows the total GDP or income is distributed among the citizens of a nation. Presently, in the United States, income at the top of the pyramid is more than 15 times higher than income at the bottom of the pyramid. This discrepancy/inequality in income distribution will result in fewer resources for citizens who are not at the top the pyramid as they will not have the capital to purchase factors of production or compete with the high income earners.
