According to Lawrence Kohlberg, moral reasoning is defined as the aspect of cognitive development: involved in overcoming egocentrism. that has to do with how an individual acquires the ability to think rationally through the basic processes of learning, including reinforcement, punishment, and modeling. that has to do with how an individual reasons about moral decisions. that develops when the ego integrity versus despair psychosocial conflict is resolved successfully.
