What is the difference between original jurisdiction and appellate jurisdiction? In what two types of cases does the Supreme Court have original jurisdiction?

    Original Jurisdiction is the power of a higher court to hear and decide a case before it has been heard and decided by any lower court while appellate jurisdiction is the power of a higher court to review or revise the decision of a lower court.

    Court have Original Jurisdiction when there is Dispute between states and also when there is case against ambassadors and public ministers
