    1. The federal government looks after the population of the nation as a whole while the state government is accountable for the living of the residents of a particular state.

    2. The state government made rules and regulations by keeping in mind the situation of the state whereas, the federal government makes laws for the entire nation by looking at the condition of the whole nation and not of a particular state.

    3. A state government better understand the needs and requirements of its subjects due to the very fact that it has not to deal with the issues of the entire nation whereas the federal government has to look after all the states.
