The two prongs of a power cord are meant to carry current to and from a lamp. If you were to plug only one of the prongs into an outlet, the lamp wouldn't light at all. Why wouldn't it at least glow at half its normal brightness

    Answer: The lamp needs two connections to the power source: one through which it receives charge and the other through which it returns that charge to the power source.

    Explanation:Also, no current will flow because by using only one prong, creates an open circuit and thus the lamp cannot glow not even half of its brightness.
