    Answer: (D) bourgeoisie and proletariat

Explanation: According to Karl Marx society is divided into bourgeoisie and proletariat. The bourgeoisie are those who controlled the means of production. The bourgeoisie are the haves, they are those who run large organizations and earn most of the profits at the expense of the workers who are the proletariat.

The bourgeoisie are capitalists who have the power to own and control the means of production because of their wealth while the proletariat are the poor who does not have the means to control the factors of production or have a say in political issues.

Marx argued that the bourgeoisie are exploiting the proletariat massively, the proletariat created the wealth the bourgeoisie are using to exploit them and they are given "peanuts". The bourgeoisie are becoming more wealthy while the proletariat are becoming poorer.
