The US shares its land borders with two nations, Mexico and Canada and England, France, Spain, and the Netherlands established significant colonial settlement programs in America.

Explanation:

French colonization mostly happened in the west of America and mostly in the Caribbean islands which were in the South America. Great Britain mostly colonized in Jamestown which was in North America and from there on the famous Thirteen American Colonies were established by the English Crown.

Spanish colonization began with the arrival of Christopher Columbus. it was the earliest to colonize America but it lost all its colonies to America in the famous Spanish American wars.
