    4. It is based on symbol

    5. It is can be integrated

    Hence, these characteristics of culture can either affect the nature of rural interaction in both physical and social interaction, such as the landscape and societal construct.

    For the physical interaction which is landscape:

    1. Cultural characteristics can affect the type of food eaten in the area, cooking methodology, and as well preservation methods.

    2. It can as affect the housing structures and materials used in construction.

    3. The economic situation of the rural areas can as well be affected the characteristics of cultures.

    For the social interaction, characteristics of cultures can affect the rural interaction in the following ways:

    1. Mode of living, as characteristics of cultures tends to favour risky behaviors among rural dwellers such as hunting, heavy drinking, smoking of tobacco etc.

    2. The idea of shared emotional vulnerability are often not encouraged by the people, specifically men, who are assumed to be stronger.

    3. Cultural characteristics tend to encourage women to share emotional or hearfelt issues.

    4. Often times, characteristics of cultures favours early marriage.
