What are some problems with democracy in the USA

Some problems are first off, not everyone votes. A democracy is where the people elect leaders, but if not everyone votes then the outcome isn't necessarily everyone's decision, just the voters. Also, we call ourselves a democracy when we actually are a democratic republic. The problem with this is that yes, we vote in elections, but the people we vote for are the ones making big decisions, not us.

To begin the government says that we have a democracy we are free to speak our minds and we are able to do the things that we feel like doing. However, when we begin to riot and protest because a black man was killed because his rights were being violated against bu a white police man they are quick to shoot rubber bullets at us. We dont have a democracy because the minute we say that we need better law enforcement we are critizized
