A pocket veto occurs when a bill fails to become law because the president does not sign the bill and cannot return the bill to Congress within a 10-day period because Congress is not in session.

    Explanation:

The national laws are formulated by the Congress which is represented by the people of America. The congress has two chambers one is Senate and the other is the House of Representatives.

These two chambers are responsible for the formulation of legislation pertaining to the United States of America. In the above statement it narrates about the power of the president and use of veto power.

There are certain norms in the US constitution which gives certain power to the president to make legislation in case of any hostile situation. The action in the above situation is bill fails to become law because of congress adjournment within 10 days so automatically the pocket veto occurs.
