    Explanation:

    Due to teens being under a constant amount of stress balancing school, social, and personal priorities at once, it can cause a huge toll on them. Some teens see drugs and alcohol as a coping mechanism to cause less stress being pressured on them. A reason why some are doing this is because when your drop dead drunk or high as a kite, you don't feel the stress, pressure or anxiety that school or extra curricular has in-store for you.
