Explanation:This is a process of acquiring the previously stored information in our brain and relate it to what we are current experiencing or viewing.

In the brain our cognitive process occur at the top of the brain and our sensory process at the bottom of our brain so when we recall information this information get transferred from the the top cognitive part to the sensory bottom part of our brain.

We think of what we already know and transfer it to what we are already seeing or touching or testing that hence we start from the top of the brain to the bottom which is why this is top-down processing.

He thought about alphabets and transferred that information into what he sees and was able to establish these alphabet as Q and P by thinking and transfering this information to his sight.

The bottom up processing will start with your senses like touching something or seeing something then transfering that information into your thinking part of the brain so that you can define it. You eat and decide if it's nice afterwards that is part of using bottom up.
