Was the Concordat of Worms a fair compromise for the emperor and the Church?

    It was a good compromise because in the beginning the pope had all the power and the holy roman emperor did not have a say. After the agreement, the emperor and the pope, both, had a say in the church. The emperor granted and for the bishops and the pope granted spiritual power to the bishops and overall it stop the lay investiture, that was created by Pope Gregory VII.
