The Hebrew Bible is referred to as the Tanakh, the collection of Jewish texts which were the basis for the Christian Old Testament; the books that make up the Hebrew Bible were written over a millennium and are comprised of core Scriptures at the start written by Moses, detailing the emergence of the Jewish People in the Negev valley, and their struggles, lifestyles, rituals and relationship with God, faith, the land and as a culture and community.
