Why atoms move at different speeds depending on whether they are in liquids or solids?

    Because in a liquid they have more space to move. Imagine if you were in a big field verses a crowded little room. In a crowded room you would bump into everyone, which would slow you down.

    Depends, unlike a solid the atoms dont move. liquids i think are stacked or move slow. i for got about the liquids atoms
