Communism is an ideology and movement in which there exists common ownership of the means of economic production as well as the absense of social classes.

According to this ideology, the problems in society lies in the fact that there is a large seperation between social classes. By removing this and providing economic equality through the state, these problems would be solved, according to the theory.
