How did British rule affect people in the British empire?

    British rule in the India was worst thing which could happen to any country. The british empire started its empire as pirates, it looted, destroyed and invaded several kingdoms within India and last battle was in 1857 when last mughal emperor was deposed thus putting an end of 1000 years of Muslim rule in India.

    More than thirty million famine related deaths occurred in British India between

    1870 and 1910, a phenomenon Mike Davis in his recent book has called the "Late

    Victorian Holocaust."

    The Deccan region of central India was the worst victim of these

    famines. This paper will analyze the official ideology, the reasons, and consequences of

    these famines.

    We think that British rule affected the people of India in a variety of ways. At first there was a lot of plundering, pirates and slavery. Westernisation ruined the years and years of hindu rule and nearly replaced it with christianity.
