The United States invasion of Afghanistan occurred after the September 11 attacks in its objective was to disassemble al-Qaeda. It wanted to eradicate Taliban by using their powers to secure foundation of Afghanistan. The United Kingdom was a friend of the United States. They supported for the attack by giving military. Then in August 2003, NATO came and associated as their colleague.
