In what ways (at least 2) is the Canadian independence from Britain different from the American independence from Britain?

    (1) America won the war in the 13 colonies against Britain whereas Canada did not fight any obvious war with Britain.

    (2) In the 19th century, colonial dependence gave way to increasing autonomy for Canada whereas America had to fight battles/wars against Britain to gain independence.

    Canada didn't fought an independence war against Britain like the U. S., instead they slowly acquired full sovereignty during the 20th century, two ways that their independence is different from the U. S.'s are:

    They are in the Commonwealth of Nations, an intergovernmental organisation of 53 states, mostly old british colonies They still recognize the english monarch as Head of State, while the prime minister acts as Head of Government
