    social needs are usually that needs or longing an individual has for love, attention, belonginess, intimacy, friends, trust, family, relationship e. t. c. most times when our social needs are not melt, we feel this emptiness on the inside and despair. but when our social needs for love and belonging is fulfilled, we fill bless, satisfied, fulfilled and a sense of well-being.

    Abraham Maslow, a psychologist postulated a concept called the hierarchy of needs which consist of the physiological needs, safety and security needs, social needs, esteem need and lastly self-actualizing need in the order of hierarchy in a pyramid. he stated that one need from the bottom must be meant before you can move to the next one.

    when the need for safety and security is meant, then one moves to the social need on the pyramid. social need is very important and essential to our everyday living that is to human thriving, as one is hungry when he do not eat so we are restless and depressed when our social needs are not meant.

    children values friendship and wants to have friends they can trust and lean on while adults seeks to advance in their careers and make a difference in their various field. when these need are meant, the children/adult feel a sense of fulfillment and love.
