How do the first 10 amendments to the U. S. constitution protect ordinary people from the government?

    Arbitrary government actions are forceful, tyrannical in nature, unrestrained use of authority. The fifth amendment makes it so the government can't force someone to testify against themselves and speak during an interrogation on arrest.
