Social Exchange Theory was given by Thibault and kelly in 1959 which describes the relationship which is based on the terminology of profit (reward) and loss (costs). They believe that partner a; always deduct to the cost and like stress, anxiety, compromises, arguments, etc. and increase the rewards such as love, praise, sex, etc. according to sociologists, relationship work upon a proportional loss and benefits.
