What was a difference between the first great awakening and the second great awakening?

The first awakening was a religious and it impacted the English colonies in America from 1730s till 1740s. During the awakening the christian leaders travelled from town to town and preached about the gospel, it resulted in renewed dedication towards religions and had a lasting impact on the christian denominations and American culture.

The second awakening was also a revivalist movement in which the preachers gathered in camp meeting for persuading and rejuvenating peoples faith in religion. It started in Kentucky, New York during 1800. The first revivalist meeting was held in Kentucky. The most famous revival meeting of second great awakening was held in 1801 at Cane Ridge Revival and 20,000 to 25,000 people attended this meeting. The movement was interpreted differently in Northern and southern part of US. The northern states developed the idea of equality and volunteerism while the southern preachers tried to preach that slavery was supported by bible.
