    In education, scaffolding refers to the process when the educators teach their students by providing a simple model that can be used by the students.

    The teacher later on, will use that model to slowly guide the student to understand how to solve a more complex problems before eventually back off and let the student solve the problem by his/her own.

    This principle is what's used by alberto's teacher when teaching him Algebra.
