In Kissimmee, Florida, outside Orlando, the police department has tried to improve citizen alertness and reporting crimes. They dressed officers as burglars andtried to create obvious burglaries to see if citizens would call the police under a program called "If you SEE something ... SAY something."They have entered houses through the side window and tried to forcibly open car doors in a Walmart parking lot. In the burglary incident, a neighbor called the police when he saw the burglar/officer moving electronic equipment from the house to an SUV in the driveway, but no one called police about forcibly entering a car, even after it was attempted several times. The officer was instructed to run for safety if an uncontrolled situation erupted or a citizen overreacted.• Evaluate the moral permissibility of the actions of the police in this effort to raise citizenawareness.•Do you believe there are other ways to accomplish this goal that pose fewer risks?

    Better campaigning strategies are advisable

    Explanation:

Moral permissibility is declaring an act not immoral or it suggest that an act cannot be immoral. These include: drinking water or taking a nap.

The police are trying to motivate citizens to report crime in order to get any would be perpetrators to defer from these actions. Also, The want to develop trust in the citizens that they are there to defend and protect and this will build confidence in law enforcement and maybe reduce tension and fear.

They tried to do this by staging crimes and looking for a response. This crime should be fully staged so all the parties involved could remain safe otherwise they may encounter problems in "stand your ground" states.

In addition to this, the the most crucial part, would be to reward citizens for reporting crimes. There must first be an incentive to do so and then the response will continue the behaviour. This simple suggestion can form a relationship of trust and confidence with citizens and police but first there must be an incentive to do so.
