    The answer is "English".

English has a place with the western sub-branch of the Germanic branch of the Indo-European group of dialects. The nearest undoubted living relatives of English are Scots and the Frisian dialects. The English language in Europe, as a local dialect, is basically spoken in the UK and Ireland. In other parts of Europe, English is spoken predominantly by the individuals who have learnt it as a second dialect.
