    For instance, score of thousands of women enlisted onto The Women's Land Army to work as farmers so that men could focus on military service. They carried the responsibility to supply food to the nation, the soldiers and even the country's allies.

    It was also an opportunity for some of the women movement for equality with men to enhance their activities.
