    That is the reason why this nation was formed by immigrants from the very beginning. Let's remember that the first colonists in the North American territories to settle in this land were English people that wanted to improve their lives and work the land. They founded the first colony of Great Britain in America in 1607, Jamestown, Virginia. And form there, the other colonies were settled in by Europeans. During the Industrial Revolution, millions of people from Europe and Asia emigrated to the United States to start a new life and they stay because the country offered anyone from any background the possibility of success through hard work.
