How has the caste system influenced life in South Asia

The Caste System, or the system in which social class is firmly decided at birth, is weakened by still alive and very influential in South Asia.

In essence, the influence is a lack of social mobility which severely impacts and limits the ability of lower caste members to succeed in society.
