In that cases, the second generation of a certain group, or an individual, can find themselves in a lower position in the social spectrum than the first generation. If the country's economy goes bad or the individual takes bad choices they can find themselves loosing acquisitive power, the access to certain symbolic assets as education or cultural appropriation or loosing their previous social status.
