    The three branches established by the constitution are legislative, judicial and the executive.

    legislative: make laws (Congress - house of representative and Senate).

    judicial: evaluate laws (supreme court and other courts).

    executive: carries out laws (Congress, vice president, president, cabinet and most federal agencies).
