70 minutemen fought against 240 British redcoats at the Battle of Lexington. Although they were originally pushed back, despite the overwhelming odds against them, the 70 minutemen managed to stop the British in their tracks at the Old North Bridge and the British took heavy casualties during their retreat back to Boston.
