Whistle blowing consists on revealing, internally or to third parties, some behaviours detected within an organization which are deemed illegal, unethical, or not correct.

It cannot be considered a white collar crime. This is the denomination of nonviolent crimes commited by business or finance professionals. It is not a crime to communicate illegal practices. It is not unethical either to do so.

Distributive justice refers to the socially fair allocation of goods, hence that it takes place in such a way that it is not contributing to inequality. Whistle blowers do not have to be acting within this trend.

Within the private sector, whistle blowers have a great bargaining power. They can use the information they know as their main assets for negotiation. Hence their influence in the corporate world can be huge, although it is also possible that they can end up facing termination and legal sues.
