    James Oglethorpe wanted the highland scotts to move to georgia because, there were feisty people and they liked to fight. That's why they Oglethorpe gave them land along the coast to settle, so that they could protect Georgia.

    The colony of Georgia was founded by James Oglethorpe in 1733 and everyone had a right to go there except Jewish however Oglethorpe allowed them to stay on the condition that they will not practice their religion.
