    Terry is suffering a withdrawn or abstinence syndrome, which is common after discontinuation of regular use of opioids (oxycodone) other symptoms described are:

    muscle pains, cravings, fatigue, excessive hunger, instability, lethargy, cold and clammy skin, loss of appetite, feeling cold, sweating or night sweats, gagging, cramping, flatulence, nausea or vomiting agitation, self-mutilation, excitability, irritability or crying, hallucination, intense anxiety, delirium, depression or paranoia, difficulty sleeping, insomnia, nightmares or drowsiness, slowness to carry out activities, confusion, disorientation or accelerated thoughts, nervousness, loss of interest or pleasure in doing activities, boredom or feeling of disconnection with oneself, watery eyes or constraint pupils (in later states dilated pupils), nasal congestion, seizures, poorly articulated speech, tingling in the feet, teeth grinding, sensitivity to pain or tremor.

    Independently of the opioid used, in all cases, all or some of the symptoms previously described might be experienced in a certain level. This is why, a person addict to this substances shall receive medical attention and gradual discontinuation of the drug, mostly providing a less addictive opioid alternative along with the recommended antidote: naltrexone or naloxone.

    Terry's intention and swearing is a good beginning, but relapses are very common in opioid abuse, therefore he will also need medical and psychological advice.
